The Blue Button Almanac February 2023 - January 2024
 
This is the long awaited comprehensive compilation of interesting dates, listed month by month, that you can research and celebrate with your mindees to develop their cultural capital!  This Blue Button Almanac will help ensure you are never stuck for ideas, whilst helping your mindees gain knowledge about the wider world!
 
I had intended to have this done over Christmas so it was ready for Janaury, but it turned out to be a much bigger task than I had anticipated and I'm sorry for the delay!   There were A LOT of different calendars to check and cross reference as they didn't all match up, but I've done it, I'm proud of it and I hope you like it too! 
 
I have pulled together all the special days I could find that I think are pertinent to our roles as nurturing educators; these include awareness days/weeks/months, religious observances, cultural and seasonal festivals from around the world, UK Bank Holidays, charity days, celebration days for individual countries, animals, the environment and the random quirky ones! 
 
Each month also has space for you to add the special days that are celebrated within your setting, ideas for the days you choose to explore and the resources you will need!

**Please note that all these dates were correct, to the best of my knowledge, at the time of publicaton (13/2/23).  This list is subjective, based on my professional judgement and it's not exhaustive.  Some dates, notably religious ones are bracketed with the phrases 'tentative date' as the actual dates are determined by the lunar calendar just before the event takes place.
