This pack was a challenge to create as I wanted to embrace the new EYFS and Development Matters by making sure there wasn’t a checklist in sight.  But it also needed to be straightforward for parents/carers to honestly fill out,  enabling us to learn as much about our mindees as we can from those who know them best, so we are in a great position to support them from the beginning!  I think you know where I’m coming from!
 
It's laid out in sections that focus on the prime areas with simple and friendly language that's suitable for all early years children and there's a brief paragraph at the start explaining what it's about.  It also provides space for parents/carers to share any concerns they may have or to ask for support with specific things, which will help strengthen your parent/carer partnership.  
 
I'd recommend sending out the seperate All About Me when a child is joining your setting and once they have started to settle in, give this to parents/carers to complete.  It's sent as both a PDF so you can just print and hand it straight out or there's an editable version, which allows you to change any of the questions and add your own logo.   From there, you can print it or email it, which may support families for whom English isnt' a first language as they maybe able to use something like Google Translate to answer the questions.

This digital pack is a Zip File containing both PDFs and editable Word documents.
