This policy explains how digital downloads work, what you can expect, and how to avoid common issues.  I’m always happy to help - but please read this policy first to avoid unnecessary delays.

Download Access

All digital downloads are delivered through Wix’s official download system.

• Each download link has one use.
• Links expire after 30 days.
• If your link expires or you accidentally use it on the wrong device, you can contact me and I will happily resend your link.
 

File Types Explained

Understanding the difference between file types will help you download the correct way.

 

PDF Files

• Best for reading, printing, or saving.
• Usually open fine on smartphones, tablets, and computers.
• PDFs are not editable unless stated otherwise.


Word Documents (.docx)

• Fully editable.
• Must be opened on a computer or laptop with Microsoft Word or an equivalent app.
• Examples of equivalent apps: Apple Pages, Google Docs (formatting may change).
• Do not download Word documents on your phone — they often won’t open properly and will waste your one download.


ZIP Folders

• A ZIP folder is a compressed file containing multiple documents.
• ZIP files must be downloaded to a computer or laptop.
• You need to extract/unzip the folder before you can use the files inside.
• Phones and tablets usually cannot open ZIP folders correctly.
 

Using Phones & Tablets

Smartphones

• Fine for PDFs.
• Not suitable for Word documents or ZIP folders.
• Please do not use your one download on a phone for editable files — it creates extra work for both of us.

Tablets

• PDFs usually work well.
• Word documents may open only if you have an app that supports editing (e.g., Apple Pages).
• Formatting may appear skewed or altered.
• I cannot take responsibility for formatting issues caused by your device or apps.


Best Practice for Downloading

To avoid problems:

• Always download Word documents and ZIP folders on a computer or laptop.
• Save your files somewhere you can easily find them (e.g., Desktop, Documents folder).
• If the file is editable, rename your working copy so you always have the original untouched version.
• Keep a backup somewhere safe.


Responsibility & Device Limitations

I cannot take responsibility for:

• Files downloaded onto devices I cannot see or troubleshoot
• Issues caused by unsupported apps
• Formatting changes caused by Apple Pages, Google Docs or other non‑Word software
• Lost files due to incorrect saving or accidental deletion

Please plan ahead and choose the correct device before downloading.
