What is it?
This is a printed Academic Year Calendar of Special Days, featuring fun, cultural, religious, seasonal and awareness dates from the UK and around the world. It runs from 1st September 2026 to 31st August 2027, giving you a full year of inspiration at a glance.

It’s designed to be a simple, joyful resource you can dip into whenever you need a spark of inspiration - whether you’re planning ahead or just looking for something fun, meaningful or curiosity‑boosting to share with the children in your care. As you all work in different settings - childminding, nursery environments, home education and family life - this Calendar of Special Days offers easy, low‑pressure opportunities to explore the world together.
 
What’s inside?
Each month has its own A4 landscape page showing all the special days for that month in a clear, easy‑to‑scan layout. Every date has been carefully researched and cross‑checked across multiple reliable sources. It includes:

How long does it last?
It covers the full academic year - September to August - giving you 12 months of special days to enjoy and explore. When you’re finished with it, you can check the Sustainability & Printing Policy on my website for guidance on responsible recycling.
 
When will you get it?
All printed items have a 10 working day turnaround (plus postage), as each calendar is made to order. This allows me to fit printing and packing around work and family life while still ensuring every order is finished to a high standard. Once ready, your calendar is sent via Royal Mail 48 Tracked, so you can follow its journey to you. If I’m able to send it sooner, I absolutely will - but 10 working days is a comfortable and realistic timeframe.
